About Tyler Byrd
As a licensed independent mental health practitioner, Tyler Byrd has assisted over 1,000 individuals in enhancing mental and emotional skills.
He has provided assistance and training to hundreds of athletes at the high school and collegiate level. Additionally, he has worked with numerous adults to enhance mental and emotional development. He believes mental and emotional training is an invaluable resource for all individuals seeking to maximize potential. Tyler was a recipient of the 2017 Omaha’s Finest Awards in recognition as one of Omaha’s top young professionals.
Tyler attended Concordia University in Seward, NE to pursue a collegiate basketball career. During his career he surpassed 1,000 points and received first team All-Conference honors. He attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) earning a Master’s degree in counseling. He has served as an Adjunct Professor at UNO and completed his thesis examining the relationship between engagement in physical activity and anxiety scores in college students. Tyler actively presents to schools and businesses in the Omaha area discussing the importance of mental and emotional health in order to maximize potential.
Tyler is currently active in the triathlon community in the Omaha area. He has competed in both the 2017 and 2018 USAT age group national championships. He promotes the mantra “the body achieves what the mind believes”.
